Director/Writer

Chris has directed over 60 professional and academic theatre productions. He is a recipient of the American College Theatre Festival Award for Excellence in Theatre Education. WE are the Kingdum of Lear is Chris’s third collaboration with Uor Artist Alumni, Doug Hammett; their other Shakespeare adaptation, Big Brother Hamlet also performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017.

Doug Hammett

Co-Creator/Scenic, Puppetry, Masks, & Props

Doug Hammett graduated with a BFA from the University of Redlands in ’85 and an MFA from Art Center College of Design in ‘89. He has spent a lifetime exploring many artistic expressions and is constantly finding new ways to bridge the gap between disciplines. Doug serves as Director for ART105 in Old Town Pasadena, a center for the visual arts, music, and theater. He created his own publishing company called Brush to Pen Publications, where image and word find a magical relationship in books and card sets. Trevor Norton

Lighting Designer

Director of Production at University of Redlands. Born in a house designed and built by his father on land of the Tongva People in Eagle Rock, California. Regional credits include Lighting Designs with The Old Globe Theatre, San Jose Rep, San Diego Rep, Shakespeare Festival LA, Pasadena Playhouse, La Jolla Playhouse, The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, A Noise Within, Lobero Theatre, Bottom’s Dream, Wheeler Opera House, Mark Taper New Works Festival, LA Theatre Works, and many more. Trevor teaches Design and Stage Management and is proud of the work of his students past and present.

Snezana Petrovic

Costume Designer

Snezana Saraswati Petrovic is a multi-media artist and an award-winning set and costume designer. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally in Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo, Prague, and Belgrade, at venues in Los Angeles including the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. She worked under Judi Chicago on the project "Envisioning the Future" at Pomona Arts Colony (2002) which solidified her focus on environmental issues. 

Snezana is the recipient of numerous awards in USA and Europe including the “Golden Arena” for Production Design in feature movie “Harms Case” and “Ovation 2010, Los Angeles” for the costume design in the Large Theater category. Snezana was also awarded UC Regents Grant, Center for Cultural Innovation Quick Grant, and National Endowment for the Arts project grant.

EDUCATION: BA in Jazz Studies Performance, Piano & Guitar (graduated with honors)
PIANO:  Studied with Randy Porter, Lisa Marsh & Stephanie Cooke
GUITAR: Studied with Dan Gildea, Jeff Putterman & Jerry Hahn 
Extensive recording and composition experience & soundtracking experience.

Matt Jackson

Assistant Director /

Earl of Gloucester

Matt Jackson is a recent graduate from the University of Redlands. For his capstone he directed The Understudy by Teresa Rebeck. For the production Matt is assistant directing, playing guitar, and acting as the Earl of Gloucester.
