JAKOB ANDERSON

Flowers, McCluskey, Fred Friendly, Christian Man w/ Guitar, Pro Life Man

BRANDON ARANGO-ALMAREZ

Floyd, Flip

(He/Him) A first-year Johnston student with a planned emphasis in comics, both in study and practice. He is a Mexican-American from San Bernardino, California. He participated in some theater during high school, having played Detective Trotter in Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap his freshman year. This will likely be his last production with UofR to make room for other endeavors academic and otherwise. He wants the audience to understand the nuance to all the figures involved, that no person is defined by any one thing, and that the freedom to choose is empowering to any choice a woman decides to make.

LARA BADEN

Linda, Mary Gilmore, Pro Choice Woman 2, Peggy

(She/Her) A freshman Johnston student studying Theatre Business, Education, and Public Policy. A takeaway Lara would like audience members to get from the show is to be respectful and respect the choices of the people around you, even when they conflict with your own. She would like to thank her family and friends for their continuous support and the faculty for all of the opportunities she has been given.

NINA CARDOZA

Roxy

(She/Hers) Theater Major/first year - First and foremost she just wants to thank her family, her friends, and the ones that she loves who pushed her to do her best even when she didn’t. She is also a track and cross country runner who devotes her life to both running and acting. She would love to teach acting to little ones so that they know that there is another world that they can create. While she is not asking you to change your opinion, she is hoping you keep in mind what others are going through and that everyone has a different situation.

VANESSA CORREIA

Christian Woman 1 w/ Ukelele, Mary, Bar Patron 2, Eleanor Smeal, Pregnant Woman 3, Pro Life Woman 1

(She/Her) A versatile individual who has pursued a range of talents and achievements, though acting is a new venture for her! While she is brand new to the acting scene, she approaches this opportunity with eagerness and a willingness to learn. She is genuinely excited to embark on this new journey and hopes to contribute positively to the experience. Vanessa values the lessons of dedication and perseverance from her pursuits as a Psychology Major, Junior Black Belt in Taekwondo, a musician, and a Pom Squad member here on campus! Each activity has contributed to her growth, and she hopes to showcase these qualities through her work on stage. She is grateful for the chance to explore this new realm and promises to approach it with sincerity and dedication. Enjoy the show!

ABBY GORDON

Bar Patron 4, Judy, TV News Reporter, Christian Woman 2

Abby wants to thank her friends, family, professors, and staff at Redlands for a fantastic and full college experience. Despite her love of the West Coast, she plans to return to the East Coast to be closer to her family and start a career in finance in DC or New York. This is her first ever production, but she was spoiled with the best director and team (thank you Allison and Charly!!!) who masterfully tell a complex, relevant story. She just hopes you enjoy it as much as she did and are moved to always LISTEN and have empathy for others' life stories.

(He/Him) John is a Sociology and Anthropology major in his junior year. While he is in his third year of attending, this is his first year on campus. He tries to spend his free time contributing to things like FSA. This is his first time doing theater, and he somehow got conscripted into this by a peer from the Creative Writing course and it has been quite nice. One question he has for after you see this play: Do you know who your two state senators are?

STEVE MORICS

Pizza Patron 3, Justice Blackmun, Christian 7 w/ Trumpet

(He/Him) Steve is currently Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Redlands. After numerous productions in high school and college, he left the stage for 25 years until one of his kids took an acting class from a theater faculty member, which led to collaborations on nearly a dozen shows (including playing trumpet in the pit for two of them) with the Theatre Arts department. Through the years, Steve has been happy to get math students to theatrical productions, and, occasionally, to get theater students to think about math. Believing a recent production of “Waiting for Godot” would be his last show, as two of his frequent collaborators retired, Steve is beyond fortunate to get another chance to work with a talented group of students and staff he might otherwise never get to meet.

HALIE MOSES

Bar Patron 3, Helen, Nurse, Holly Hunter, Mariah, Pregnant Woman 1, Pro Choice Woman 1

(She/Her) Halie is a Political Science and Public Policy Major, a Religious Studies minor and a Women and Gender Studies minor in her senior year at the University of Redlands. After graduation, Halie intends to find a career in Washington D.C in which she can utilize her passion for advocating for others, and getting people the resources and rights they deserve. But in the meantime, she is pursuing her passion for theater and telling a story very near to her studies and her heart❤️. She can’t think of a more important, urgent, and crucial story to tell in a post-Dobbs world; she wants the audience to see the humanity in women’s experiences, the liberation that comes from choice, and more than anything: TO VOTE!

ALEXI ORNELAS

Bar Patron 1, Woman Circle 1, Helper 2, Christian 6

(She/Her) A first year at the University of Redlands. She is an aspiring Creative Writing major and Theater minor.  ROE is her first production at the university and she is thrilled to have been a part of this production and the amazing creative process. It was wonderful getting to know and work with the cast and team. With bringing this show to life, she hopes that the audience takes away that all have the right to choose. Also, to love, support and cherish those that you love unconditionally. She is so excited for you all to see all the work the cast has put into this production.  Thank you for coming and enjoy the show!

SASHA PURINS

Melissa, Emily

(She/Her) Sasha is very excited to make her acting debut in ROE.  Aside from acting, she plays the violin and electric bass. Sasha is a huge Harry Potter fan, enjoys spending time with her friends, and playing tennis. No matter what their opinion is on this subject, she hopes that people take a moment to think about how this subject affects women and our society overall.

RUINS RACKLEY

(He/Him) Ruins grew up participating in theatre, having worked as an actor, stage manager, tech crew member, and director/playwright. While this is the first production he has acted in at the university, he has done backstage work on prior productions. In May he will be in the musical: "And the World Goes Round". He loves every aspect of theatre and hopes to work as a theatre teacher in low-income school districts to share his love with future generations. Outside of the theatre he enjoys dancing, singing, streaming, and playing the ukelele and piano.

Victoria also has experience with directing and the California Thespians Society, having served on a high school board and as a State Thespians Officer for the 2021-2022 term. One takeaway Victoria would like audiences to hold for ROE is to harbor an open mind and leave any prior opinions about Roe v Wade at the door. Instead, come as a clean slate and listen carefully to the stories being told, so that way hopefully you’ll find extra empathy, support, and compassion for the women and biologically female people in your life, as the issues on stage are simply a mirror that reflect our modern society.

VANESSA RICHARDSON

Aileen, Barbara, Uma

(She/Her) Vanessa is excited to perform on the University of Redlands' theater stage. She's always wanted to perform here since she started working for the university in 2018. She would like to thank her director, Allison Jaye, for offering her such an impactful role, the theater arts' department chair, Gregory Ramos, for granting the opportunity, and the dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, Justin Rose, for the correspondence.

BELLA RODRIGUEZ

Connie/Ofelia

Working on ROE has been such an honor, with the opportunity to not only tell the story but remind/teach others is a privilege.  ROE will be her first production at the University of Redlands as well as her first project after a two-year hiatus. Past projects include Nina "In the Heights" (Rialto Community Players), Little Red Riding Hood "Into the Woods" (Legendary Productions), and Young Terk "Tarzan" (Redlands Bowl). She would like to thank her parents, sister, friends, and partner for supporting her as well as Allison, Charly, and the amazing technical team for all they do! May it forever be your right to choose. The main thing she wants audiences to take away from the show is the relevancy of this issue still today in 2024.

ALECANDER SEILER

She has been choreographing and competing in dance for 16 years with her main style as HipHop. She is also a vocalist/pianist for Cape Cod Church Worship and Portrait Church Worship.
