ALLISON SCARLET JAYE

Director

 

Allison Scarlet Jaye (she/her) is a bi-coastal actor, writer, and director.  Having performed on stages all over the world, Allison is proud to teach and direct as a Visiting Professor at the University of Redlands.  Favorite roles include: Sleep No More (Off-Broadway), Blood At The Root (National Black Theatre of Harlem, Kennedy Center, International Tour), Masterclass (Garry Marshall Theater), House & Garden (Pittsburgh Irish Classical Theatre), Head Over Heels (Redlands Theater Festival) The Wolves (University of Redlands).  Allison is directing and performing at Redlands Theatre Festival this summer, teaching at the University's Summer Theatre Intensive for young artists, and co-writing a commissioned play for the Green Room Theatre Company.  Allison thanks her brave & devoted cast, Stage Manager, and Asst Stage Manager who have moved through this journey with commitment, humor, humanity, and heart.  

TREVOR NORTON

Lighting Designer

(He/His) Director of Production at University of Redlands. Regional credits include Lighting Designs with The Old Globe Theatre, San Jose Rep, San Diego Rep, Shakespeare Festival LA, Pasadena Playhouse, La Jolla Playhouse, The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, A Noise Within, Lobero Theatre, Bottom’s Dream, Wheeler Opera House, Mark Taper New Works Festival, LA Theatre Works, and many more. Trevor teaches Design and Stage Management and is proud of the work of his students past and present

 

BLAKE DAVID PALMER

Scenic and Costume Designer

(He/They) Earlier this season Blake designed sets and costumes for the School of Performing Arts production of  "Hansel and Gretel." Blake recently moved to Southern California after 15 years designing theatre and opera around the US, UK, Germany, and Switzerland. His education includes a BFA from Missouri State University and MFA from New York University. 

IMANI KYAMI

Sound Designer

(He/him) Imani is in his second year and is studying Music Composition at the Conservatory of Music here at the University of Redlands. This is Imani’s first project with the School of Performing Arts as the sound designer. Imani intends to apply for grad school after finishing his undergraduate degree and hopes to become a music producer after grad school. Imani is thrilled to be a part of this process and he thanks everyone who has helped him get to where he is now.

BENJAMIN DEMENT

Composer

​

(He/him) Benjamin discovered his passion for music at the age of 12 with playing the cello. He holds a bachelor's in music composition from the California Polytechnic Institute, Pomona where he was mentored by Dr. Isaac Schankler. He is now in his final semester of his master's in composition from the Redlands Conservatory of Music where he is mentored by Dr. Anthony Suter and Dr. Andre Myers. Benjamin's goal for writing music is always to write music that tells a story and impacts his listeners in a meaningful way. He is excited to synthesize his talents in the theatrical medium with this production of ROE. 

VERONICA SPAGNAUOLO 

Choreographer

(She/Her) Veronica is from Cape Cod, MA. She is a 2nd year student studying Global Business with a minor in Musical Theatre. She has been choreographing and competing in dance for 16 years with her main style as HipHop. She is also a vocalist/pianist for Cape Cod Church Worship and Portrait Church Worship. She says her main takeaway from the show is that each testament is different under the umbrella of abortion and every story requires a level of compassion and love for the person(s) involved.

CAROLYN GOERTZEL

Asst. Lighting Designer

 

(She/her) Cary is a junior double majoring in English and Theater. This is her first time doing anything to do with lighting and is the last aspect of theater she needs to conquer. She’s grateful for this experience and Trevor’s patience with her questions. From this show, she hopes that everyone takes away the importance of choice in every aspect of life. Enjoy the show!
