Meet The Production Team

Director
Gabriel Rodriguez
HELLO! Its me again – this time I want to talk to you about the creative lens that was used to make this show, at least from a director’s perspective.
I wanted to keep every actor on a level playing field – Tania having as much power as Virginia and Pablo holding as much power as Frank. No character is perfect, each exhibiting their own set of flaws, but that’s also what makes this show so unique– from Tania to Frank, each one of them has a reason to be right. So, as you follow the characters, I challenge you to find your own human nature in them– and act introspectively to either affirm or reconsider your own biases.
Enjoy the show!

He has helped out previously in the shop last year and was asked personally from the director as well as many other creditors to sign on for Native Gardens. "I just want to thank Sneźana Petrovic and Debbie Bradford for believing in me and helping become not only better in the fields I’m already invested with but also with becoming a real designer.”

Lighting Designer
Daniella Reeb
Daniella is a senior at the University of Redlands double majoring in mathematics and theatre. As a hispanic American who grew up in Singapore, Tania’s view and exploration on race and identity in the show is something I can really relate to. "Doing the lights for this show has been very special and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I have!"

Sound Designer
Kayla Conley
Kayla is a 3rd year Johnston student with an emphasis is Entertainment Business from Chino, California. This is her first theatre show ever and she is so excited to be the sound designer for Native Gardens! She is hoping to use this experience to further her emphasis in entertainment business to one day help with productions in music venues.

Stage Manager
Jay Arroyo
Jay is a sophomore here at the University of Redlands and they are so excited to be making their Redlands Theatre Arts Department debut. Although this is their first time stage-managing at Redlands, they have stage managed multiple shows in high school and they have been a part of theatre for as long as they remember. Jay hopes to one day be creating theatre and film as a part of their career, but for now they are so proud to present this production of Native Gardens.

Alison Hale
Alison is a freshman at the University of Redlands and she's excited to be on campus and working on a production!
